Pierre Chareau
(1883 - 1950)
Pierre Chareau was a French architect and designer. Born in Le Havre, France, went to the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris by the time he was 17. Chareau is credited for building the first house in France made of steel and glass, the Maison de Verre. His designs were noted for their complex nature.
